It seems like almost anything goes with makeup and it is often hard to keep up with the trends. The last few years we’ve seen smoky eyes and nude color lips as top trends. I’m now happy to see some of my favorites in makeup back in trend.
- Red lipstick. Various shades of red lipstick are back in full force and is a trend for spring 2012. Thank goodness for me as my completion drowns out in nude color lipsticks. I’ve always loved red lipstick and I’m so glad that my makeup choice will be hip again.
- Cat eyes. A sixties inspired look using eyeliner artistically angled out from the outer eye corner toward the brow gives the impression of cat eyes. I like this dramatic look and glad to see it back.
- Bronzed and sun-kissed cheeks. With a fair complexion, I always prefer a little bronzer or apricot blushed cheeks that give a healthy glow. Bronzers and sun-kissed makeup have been in trend for sometime but still is in mode for spring 2012.
