Daza Buckhead Latin Night – Atlanta venue review

Share

If you live in Atlanta you can dance salsa every night of the week.  One of the longest standing Latin dance social parties is hosted by Jimmy Rumba at the Daza Dance Studio in Buckhead.  Every third Saturday of the month the studio offers the Salsa Jam but the party also includes some bachata and cha cha. The studio has great space with a clean, slippery dance floor. Unfortunately the crowd is a bit cliquish making it a little uncomfortable for newcomers. But if you try to get to know people, they will warm up. You have to take the initiative to make friends.

DAZA Latin NightA decent value for those who can jump into the environment, the venue offers plenty of free parking and admission is $12, which includes a free basic salsa and bachata dance lesson.  However, the timing of the lesson is never consistent and it seems to start and end later every time making it frustrating for those on a schedule.  The hot salsa dancers also quickly heat up the place.  Despite the extra fans it seems like the studio air condition cannot handle the salseros.

The event also offers some limited snacks.
