PASOFino Dance Studio is a rare gem in the Atlanta Latin dance scene. In addition to a wide range of classes, PASOFino also runs Latin dance social events that are open to all to attend and enjoy the rhythms and moves of salsa and bachata. Every Tuesday and every fourth Saturday of the month, PASOFino offers salsa and bachata dance socials starting at 9 pm. The dance socials are the best way to practice all that you’ve learned in the classes.
PASOFino’s weekly Tuesday night social has been free for participants but double check with the studio to confirm. The every fourth Saturday of the month social admission fee is $12, which includes a free dance lesson. With plenty of free parking, the studio has great space with a clean, real hard wood dance floor. Many dance studios do not have real wood floors; and for serious dancers, the floor makes a huge difference. The crowd is very friendly with great energy, which is a credit to the Jose Maldonado and Lucy Lu – the event’s hosts. The hosts make the crowd feel welcomed and comfortable. Jose attempts to dance with most his guests despite their level of experience. This goes a long way in making guests feel appreciated and welcomed.
The music is always great at the events. A great balanced combination of salsa, bachata and an occasional cha cha, merengue and reggaeton give a little something for everyone.
