Sandy Spring’s Studio Muse for Life Venue Review

As a resident of Sandy Springs my husband and I were thrilled to find a new salsa event very close to home.  My husband and I recently checked out Muse for Life in Sandy Springs close to Roswell Road.  Since my husband and I have become more serious dancers, we look for and enjoy locations that make it easy to dance in a friendly, sociable, smoke-free atmosphere.  This event was also featured on our event calendar.

Muse for Life

Sandy Spring’s studio Muse for Life offers dance and yoga classes as well as music classes. Proyecto Barrio Dance Company put on an event called Salseros’ Night Out.  This event will be offered every second Friday.  The cost is a $10 cover and $7 for students.  Parking is free.

The studio offers 3,000 square feet of hardwood floors.  I think it was the best dance floor that I ever experienced. I really didn’t know I could spin like that!  I felt like I was spinning in the air. The music was primarily salsa with a bit of bachata intertwined. The crowd was very outgoing and fun.  Many levels of dancers attended so it wasn’t intimidating for newcomers.  The only drawback was the hot summer night in July and the hot dancers made the temperature rise in the studio and the air condition struggled to cool the caliente salsa dancers.

Muse for Life is a venue to put on your list.  In our backyard, with one of the nicest crowds, we will definitely be back.
