Sexual Reflexology: Activating the Taoist Points of Love, a book written by Mantak Chia and William U. Wei, gives applications of sexual reflex points in lovemaking to practice sex as an act of healing. Based on Taoist principles, the book provides Taoist techniques such as breathing, massage and sexual positions that can help improve sexual partnership as well as increase the energy flow and health of the individual. Chia and Wei’s book outline nine major love points that can be stimulated to enhance the sexual and healing experience. A sensual massage could be a great experiment to practice stimulating your partner’s love points.
- Perineum. The perineum is the area between the opening of the vagina and the anus in a woman, or the area between the scrotum and the anus in a man. The authors say, “The sex crossroads is the hui-yin and is one of the most important love points. It is located at the middle of the perineum, just barely beneath the skin.” In love making, you can stroke or gently press the perineum with a fingertip for a few seconds, release and press again. Repeat this about forty times, or for five minutes.
- Cinnabar field. Seven points occur from the naval to the pubic symphysis (in front of the pubic bone, felt slightly above the genitals). The authors recommend, “One way to locate them is to think of the distance from the navel to the pubic symphysis as five sections, each a little over an inch long. In love play, stroke and press with the palm. Never press heavily. Press each for three to five seconds and then release and repeat. The tongue, if made stiff, can be used instead.”
- Breasts. Each nipple contains love points. Additionally, the sternum, or breastbone, is a long flat bone located in the center of the chest. The breastbone contains another love point located at the same level of the nipples. The book suggests, “Roughly one inch above each nipple toward the corresponding should there is another love point. One pair of love points is underneath each breast, under the breastbone; these love points should be pressed and stroked with the palm and felt lightly with the finger.”
- Groin. The groin areas are the two creases at the junction of the torso with the legs, on either side of the pubic area. The book says, “Approximately two inches down the crease between the stomach and the thighs lie a pair of love points. Palpating them, by pushing lightly and stroking along the groin using the fingertips, can assuage frigidity and impotence.”
- Upper back. Four love points exist on the upper back. The book recommends, “To find them, envisage on either side of the spine two parallel vertical lines. One is about one and one-half inches and the other about three inches from the spine. The top points align with the lower portion of the second thoracic vertebra (two vertebrae down from the large bone that protrudes at the shoulder level when the head is bent forward, know as C-7). The bottoms points line up with the lower part of the fifth thoracic vertebra (five vertebrae down from C-7). Press each point firmly for a few seconds, using the fingertips and then stop. Go to the next point. Repeat a few times.”
- Lower back. A love point exists slightly below the back of the waist under the second lumbar vertebra called the life gate. The authors claim that this is an important spot for sexual energy and the second center for a man’s erection. “Pressing on this love point firmly with fingertips should bring about very satisfying results. Level with this point, there are two additional love points on either side of the spine. They are about one and one-half and three inches from the spine. They should be pressed together with the life gate.”
- Sacralcoccygeal area. The coccyx is known as the tailbone. The sacrococcygeal is a joint formed between the oval surface at the apex of the sacrum and the base of the tailbone. “Along the sacrum, lined up in a V shape, there are eight love points that can be firmly pressed. There is a ninth spot on the tip of the coccyx.
- Thighs and legs. “Midway between the kneecap and the groin on the front of each thigh lie two love points. Approximately two inches over the knee, where the muscle bulge slightly toward the inside, is another point. Press these firmly using the thumb.”
- Lower legs. A significant love point exists on the bottom portion of the leg known as the san-yin-chiao (intersection of the three yins). The books says, “It is on the inside of the shin, approximately three inches above the peak of the medial malleolus (anklebone) and beside the shinbone. Pressing here can cure impotence, frigidity, and early ejaculation.”
Now that you have a roadmap for sexual healing and reflexology love points, use your new found knowledge to create the much needed intimacy for a healthy sexual relationship.
